Job summary

Rock Health is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide essential in-home care to clients in North Carolina. You will perform daily caregiving tasks, support with personal care, and follow an aide plan.

This role emphasizes safety, infection control, and respect for privacy, with documentation via EVV or electronic timesheets. Candidates should have at least 6 months of caregiving experience, a high school diploma, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.

• Strong communication, safety awareness, and ability to follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Following the client's aide plan and completing daily tasks via EVV or timesheets.
• Assisting with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meals, feeding, and transfers using assistive devices.
• Maintaining safety and infection control; keeping a clean, safe environment.
• Supporting self-help activities while respecting privacy and confidentiality.
• Monitoring conditions and reporting concerns to the supervisor.
• Assisting with laundry, cleaning, groceries, and meal prep as needed.
• Only assist with self-administration of medications; do not administer meds.
• Follow scope of practice, policies, and seek guidance when needed.

• Assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, oral hygiene, and transfers using assistive equipment.
• Ensuring safety, following infection control procedures, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Supporting clients with self-help activities and respecting their privacy and confidentiality.
• Monitoring client conditions, reporting any concerns or unusual changes to the supervisor.
• Assisting with secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep as needed.
• Only assisting with self-administration of medications and not administering medications directly.
• Adhering to scope of practice, policies, and procedures, and seeking guidance when necessary.
