Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Griffin, GA is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver to help seniors live safely at home. You’ll assist with daily living, bathing, dressing, meals, and companionship, delivering compassionate, reliable support.

Benefits include a $200 sign-on bonus, pay of $16–$17 per hour, 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, and online training with CEUs. A GA HCA registration and valid driver’s license are required; experience in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active GA HCA registration is required (Interim can assist with certification).
• One year of healthcare experience is preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• TB screening current and valid GA driver’s license, plus auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate, helpful nature with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition; notify supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment and engage clients in activities they enjoy.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification and current TB screening
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
