Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Coweta County, GA to help seniors age in place with compassionate, in-home support. You will assist with daily activities, transportation, and companionship, while maintaining safety and dignity for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; GA PCA certificate preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; CPR and First Aid current.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client status for supervisor.
• Create a safe home environment and engage clients in activities they enjoy.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Personal Care Aid certificate in GA, Interim can assist with certificate
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Hands-on current CPR and First Aid certification and a current TB screening within 12 months
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
