Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a Personal Banking Advisor to act as a financial consultant for members, handling new accounts, loans, and a range of banking products with a focus on delivering exceptional service.

The role emphasizes cross-selling opportunities, meeting branch goals, and maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this on-site Michigan position.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related banking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Michigan Resident Producer Credit Insurance License required.
• Ability to become registered through NMLS and achieve notary certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote strong member interactions with a consultative approach to addressing financial needs.
• Cross-sell loans, credit cards, second mortgages, HSAs or IRAs, and business accounts.
• Process new consumer accounts, loans, and other products accurately.
• Meet sales targets and contribute to branch goals in a results-driven environment.
• Represent LMCU at community events and on-site employer sessions to promote services.
• Assist in branch operations and supervisor duties during peak times such as Saturdays.
