Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is seeking a Personal Banking Advisor to serve as a trusted financial consultant for members. The role emphasizes meeting financial needs, cross-selling products, and delivering exceptional service.

You will set up new accounts, process loans, and assist with various financial products while building lasting member relationships. The position is part-time, fully on-site, with travel within the assigned region.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related banking experience or preparatory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; banking experience preferred.
• License/registration required where applicable (NMLS and Michigan license).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a financial consultant and advocate for members with personalized solutions.
• Set up new accounts, process loans, and assist with a variety of financial products.
• Cross-sell LMCU products to meet member goals while ensuring service excellence.
• Build long-term relationships and maintain accurate, compliant records.
• Resolve conflicts professionally and maintain high level of member satisfaction.
• Support branch operations and participate in peak-time supervisor duties.
