Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking qualified candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I. Selected candidates will begin with a 9-week on-boarding and education program that includes rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification.

The Personal Banker I role focuses on using the consultative sales process to identify needs, acquire new households, deepen relationships, and support teller transactions while contributing as a platform team member.

Qualifications

College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or combination of education and experience.
Experience in the financial industry preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire or cross-sell customers.
Must understand advanced math for credit/financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Use consultative sales and needs assessment to identify customer financial needs.
Maintain knowledge of retail products/services and recommend solutions.
Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for reviews.
Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
Build relationships with partners and refer customers for holistic solutions.
Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals; protect confidentiality.
