Job summary

First Community Bank is seeking a Personal Banker I to deliver accurate information about banking products, handle inquiries, and resolve complaints within a community-focused environment.

You will support customers with account services, promote products, and ensure compliance with policies. The role includes teller duties, referrals to partners, and participation in campaigns to grow the customer base.

• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a banking or retail environment.
• Proven ability to listen actively and propose solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote cordial relationships with customers, ensuring prompt attendance to inquiries and solving issues for maximum satisfaction.
• Inform and suggest new banking products to customers.
• Provide information to customers on account balances, status, and history.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Protect customers' confidential information and use it only for official purposes.
• Improve customers' banking experience by prompt service and resolving issues.
• Conduct effective checking sales presentations to recommend appropriate accounts.
• Introduce customers to Tell-A-Friend program and distribute coupons with explanations.
• Help customers understand in-person and digital banking options.
• Proactively use customer channels to expand technology penetration and advocate for the bank.
• Open new accounts and service existing accounts per procedures.
• Minimize deposit exceptions and address issues promptly to prevent account closures.
• Refer customers to banking partners (Wealth, Mortgage, Commercial, Treasury).
• Perform branch operations as assigned by Branch Manager.
• Participate in marketing campaigns to grow the customer base.
• Consult on consumer loan options and ensure proper loan documentation and lien perfection where needed.
• Serve as Teller, handling cash duties accurately and in compliance with procedures.
• Complete training within expected timeframes.
