Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Personal Banker in Vancouver, WA to deliver exceptional client experiences and grow relationships with customers. You will identify needs, offer suitable banking products, and refer clients to internal partners for comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1 year of Teller or other banking experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of consumer banking and business products and services offered.
• Ability and desire to actively develop consumer lending skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
• Proficient in expanding the client relationship with emphasis on creating new relationships and expanding existing relationships utilizing a personal and business bio and rapport with customers.
• Ability to obtain a Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent client service by acknowledging clients and offering appropriate products and services, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Engage clients and prospects in client financial reviews to provide solutions and uncover needs.
• Make recommendations and follow through on commitments to clients.
• Maintain direct contact with external and internal clients and provide proactive solutions and problem resolutions in alignment with Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
• Open Consumer and Business accounts for existing and new clients.
• Assist Client Service Specialists and fill in on teller functions when needed.
• Support the branch goal of referring bank products to internal partners.
• Resolve client issues with strong follow-through.
• Build familiarity with business, consumer, and trust entities.
