Job summary

First National Bank Texas is hiring a customer-focused team member to handle cash receipts and payments in a high-volume retail banking setting. You will evaluate customer relationships and promote bank products to support financial success, while following policies and supervisor directions.

This role requires accuracy in processing deposits, issuing receipts, cross-selling services, and serving a diverse customer base, including Spanish speakers. Regular attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, in a high volume, sales environment.
• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Follow established policies in accordance with bank guidance.
• Be accountable for personal achievement of monthly new account production.
• Participate in an active sales environment, potentially with in-store prospecting.
• Process deposits and pay out funds, recording transactions accurately and balancing daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks, verify amounts, and check endorsements as needed.
• Examine cash to guard against counterfeit checks and improper identifications.
• Enter transactions into the computer and issue customer receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Perform other tasks as requested by supervisors related to the bank's functions.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Approval limits will be based on established authority levels.

• Accountable for the personal achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management
• Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting
• Process deposits and pay out funds in accordance with bank procedures, to record all transactions accurately and balance each day's operations
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and look for check endorsements
• Examine cash carefully to guard against acceptance of counterfeit checks and identification
• Enter transactions into computer and issue customer receipts
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, bank-to-bank wires, and certificates of deposit
• Process western union wires and cash advances
• Cross-sell bank services and products
• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population
• Perform other tasks requested by supervisors as they relate to the bank and its functions
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality*
• Approval limits will be based upon established authority levels

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location
• Ability to work in a high volume, stressful and noisy environment
• Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time
• Operate a computer and other office machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
