Job summary

People Creating Success in California is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with disabilities in our Burbank/Glendale-based supported living program. You will help with daily living activities, follow care plans, and foster engaging community involvement.

The role offers $20/hour, a $500 sign-on bonus, mileage reimbursement, a $10/month cell stipend, and flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight options.

Qualifications

• Compassionate with a person-centered mindset.
• Strong communication with dignity and respect.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to obtain or maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• DSP 1 & 2 certification preferred; internal programs available.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living skills (cleaning, cooking, budgeting, light duties).
• Follow care plans and help participants reach personal goals.
• Encourage healthy habits, interests, and social activities.
• Assist access to and participation in community activities.
• Assist with personal care, including medication support, hygiene, and transfers if needed.
• Document shifts and communications logs.

Your Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, budget management, and light household duties

• Following care plans and helping participants achieve their personal goals

• Encourage healthy habits, studies, hobbies, and social activities

• Assist participants access and participate in community activities

• Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene and bathing (lifting / transferring may be required)

• Collaborate Person-Centered Care planning with participant, staff and management

• Document shift and communication logs

• A valid driver’s license

• Responsible, and can document goal progress tracking with detail

• DSP 1 & 2 certification (preferred, applicants who are not yet certified can take advantage of our internal certification programs)

• CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if applicants are not certified or need to be recertified)

• Weekend Availability (Is a plus but not required)
