Job summary

Converge Medical Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a VA Follow-Up Specialist to manage pending VA approvals by phone. You will contact VA facilities, determine holding issues, and log updates in Salesforce while keeping veterans moving toward their device.

This role is hybrid, paying $22-$26 per hour. We value persistence, clear communication, and ability to navigate government processes. A high school diploma and 1+ year phone experience are recommended.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; higher education welcome.
• 1+ years of high-volume phone experience — outbound calling, follow-up, or similar environment.
• Experience with Salesforce or a similar system preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential patient and business information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Work the phones: Call VA facilities on a regular three-to-five day cycle to check the status of every pending approval on your list.
• Get to the right person: Navigate VA phone systems, queues, and transfers to reach someone who can give you a real answer.
• Get the status and identify the holdup: Find out where each approval stands and what is holding it up; log status and next follow-up date in Salesforce.
• Hand off cleanly: Pass cases needing documentation or administrative work to the appropriate team to stay on the phone.
• Flag patterns: Inform your manager when a facility changes its process or a recurring problem occurs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
