Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Converge Medical Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a VA Follow-Up Specialist who will spend the day on the phone with VA facilities, checking on pending approvals and moving cases forward. You will log updates in Salesforce and hand off cases requiring documentation to the appropriate team.
The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ years of high‑volume phone experience, and comfort with a structured daily call list. Salesforce familiarity and HIPAA awareness are a plus.
If you're persistent on the phone, good at getting past "I don't know," and don't mind calling back until you get a real answer, this role was built for you.
At Converge Medical Technology, we provide game-changing technology with empowering personalized patient services as part of our in-home, multidisciplinary programs for chronic low back and neck pain. Our passion is to change people's lives. The genuine care and healing of our patients is our highest mission, and our goal is to help them get back to doing the things they love.
Before a veteran can receive their device, the VA has to approve it - and those approvals sit in queues at VA facilities across the country. Your job is to help keep those approvals moving. You'll spend your day on the phone with VA hospital staff, working a list of pending approvals, finding out where each one stands and what's holding it up. When you get an answer, a veteran gets closer to their device.
Some VA centers pick up in ten minutes. Others hold you for forty-five. Plenty of calls end in voicemail, a wrong department, or an answer that contradicts what you were told last week. That's the job, not a bad day. The people who do well here don't take it personally, don't carry a rough call into the next one, and find a steady rhythm in working the same list the same way every day. If you need constant variety and fast momentum to stay engaged, this isn't the right fit - and we'd rather say that now.
Our mission is Fun, Family, and Freedom. We encourage our team members to have fun at work, prioritize their family and work/life balance, and have the freedom to improve how we do things. We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- & long-term disability, FSA/HSA options, 401k with matching, and so many more. Come and join a company that values its team as much as its growth!
Converge Medical Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
