Job summary

Imagine Next seeks a Permitting / Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support permit tracking, regulatory monitoring, incentive tracking, and permitting coordination for selected projects.

You will verify regulatory approvals, manage logs, and coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies. Ideal candidates have a environmental science/engineering background and 8+ years in the field, with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, planning, engineering, construction management, public administration, or related field, or equivalent and 8+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with construction permitting, compliance tracking, or regulatory coordination.
• Strong ability to manage permit matrices, logs, and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an independent tracking matrix of permits, approvals, licenses, and regulatory compliance milestones applicable to the project.
• Independently verify the status of regulatory approvals and flag compliance gaps to project leadership.
• Track requirements involving local building departments, state environmental agencies, OSHA, and other relevant federal, state, or local agencies.
• Track compliance with conditions attached to public incentives or tax benefits, including prevailing wage requirements, local hiring commitments, and reporting obligations where applicable.
• Review permit application packages for completeness and accuracy, track status and timelines, identify permitting risks, and maintain permit logs.
