Job summary

Percheron, LLC is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to support city, county, railroad, and Corps of Engineers permitting processes. You will ensure timely permit acquisition, communicate with clients on terms, and coordinate with survey and drilling crews to maintain project momentum.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least 3 years of related work, and strong organizational and communication skills. Office and field work will be involved as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent to a four-year degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relative experience.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledgeable about survey drawings, engineering drawings, and alignments sheets.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
• Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures permits are acquired correctly and promptly.
• Communicates with clients regarding agreement language, compensation, insurance requirements, bonds, and long lead items.
• Collaborates with survey crew, drill crew, and recording crew to maximize efficiencies.
• Participates in permit project start-up meetings and ensures understanding of topics discussed.
• Completes all necessary paperwork.
• Researches ownership for surface and/or minerals.
• Negotiates and acquires necessary surface and/or mineral permits for crew access.
• Works with project manager, project engineers, and surveyors to receive documents such as calculations, pipeline specifications, and exhibits.
• Supports surveying, drilling, and recording phases, ensuring permit stipulations are followed, and addresses issues as they arise.
