Job summary

Springville's Community Development Department is seeking a part-time Permit Technician to support processing, routing, and issuance of building permits under supervision of the Chief Building Official.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, guide them through permit requirements, collect fees, and coordinate plan reviews and inspections while maintaining records in compliance with GRAMA.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma plus two years of related experience.
• ICC Permit Technician certification must be obtained within six months.
• GRAMA Essentials training and RIM Essentials assessment within six months.
• Excellent customer service and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact guiding customers through permit processes.
• Process, route, and track permit applications and fees.
• Coordinate inspections and issue certificates as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to GRAMA requests.
