EKN Engineering seeks a proactive Permit Specialist to support the Permits and Compliance Department in Irvine. You will manage daily client communications, ensure timely updates, and enter accurate data into internal and shared platforms.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment, with strong written and verbal communication to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data-entry platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with clients via email, phone and virtual meetings.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings; take notes and action items.
• Explain timelines and changes to manage client expectations.
• Manage reporting and project tracking using Microsoft Excel.
• Read construction drawings and discuss scope with clients.
• Coordinate permit expectations with internal and external teams.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
