Job summary

RXinsider LTD. in Plano, Texas is seeking a Permit Technician to support the building permit process. The role involves administering a database of construction permits, verifying packet completeness, and providing information on reviews and processes to applicants and staff.

You will back up various admin duties, communicate with staff, citizens, and contractors, and pursue ICC certifications to strengthen expertise. The position is on-site in Plano with standard business hours.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
ICC Permit Technician certification or ability to obtain within first year of employment.
Minimum two years of experience overseeing daily office operations and performing general admin tasks.

Responsibilities

Maintain database for permits and inspections; ensure data accuracy.
Verify completeness of permit application packets and provide information on review process.
Assist Plan Review staff and back up other administrative duties as needed.
Communicate effectively with staff, citizens and contractors; support team operations.
Handle general clerical tasks: calls, correspondence, filing, and message relay.
Pursue ICC certifications and participate in ongoing training to improve performance.
