Job summary

Consciousness Incorporated in Dallas is seeking a Permit Expeditor to manage the path from code-ready drawings to approved permits across Texas projects. You will coordinate with in-house architecture and engineering to resolve plan-review questions fast, ensuring timely approvals.

With 3+ years of permit expediting experience, you will track permit status, maintain relationships with plan reviewers and inspectors, and own the permit log to align with project schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years expediting building permits, ideally multifamily, education or civic work.
• Working knowledge of IBC and Texas amendments; familiarity with modular / industrialized building review.
• Comfort reading construction drawings and code-analysis sheets.
• Exceptional follow-through and a calm, persistent manner with jurisdictions.
• Texas jurisdiction relationships a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage AHJ submittals and resubmittals across municipal and county jurisdictions in Texas.
• Track every project’s permit status and clear comments before they hit the schedule.
• Coordinate with in-house architecture and engineering to resolve plan-review questions fast.
• Build and maintain relationships with plan reviewers, inspectors and third-party agencies.
• Own the permit log and report lead times against the project schedule.
