Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services seeks a Permanency Supervisor (Child Welfare Supervisor 2) to lead and supervise a social service team in Gresham. You will oversee case planning, staff development, and ensure safety and permanency for children.

This permanent, full-time role requires strong leadership, trauma-aware practice, and collaboration with partners and families to improve outcomes for Oregon's vulnerable children and families.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in human services and two years of lead work or related supervision experience.
• A bachelor's degree unrelated to human services with Oregon Caseworker Competency and two years of lead work.
• An associate degree with three years of human services related experience, two of which include lead work.
• An associate degree with Caseworker Competency coursework and two years of lead work.

Responsibilities

• Engage and supervise staff by planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating activities related to ODHS and Child Welfare.
• Ensure staff adhere to good social work practices, state and federal laws, and department policies.
• Provide general training, orientation, mentoring, and consultations to staff.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, community partners, children, and families.
• Make informed decisions regarding the level and type of services provided to client families.
• Review and approve work.
