Job summary

Oregon Department of Human Services in Gresham is seeking a Permanency Supervisor (Child Welfare Supervisor 2) to lead social service staff and ensure the safety and permanency of children’s lives. You will manage conflicts, set goals, and provide mid-level feedback in a supportive, inclusive environment.

The role requires a relevant degree with lead experience and a strong commitment to equity and collaboration with families and partners across the Child Welfare program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with two years of lead work, supervision, or related experience.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s unrelated degree with coursework equivalent to Oregon Caseworker Competency and two years of lead work.
• An associate degree with three years of human services experience including lead/supervision.
• An associate degree with coursework equivalent to Oregon Caseworker Competency and two years of lead work.

Responsibilities

• Engage and supervise staff by planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating activities.
• Ensure staff adhere to laws, policies, and quality standards for safety and permanency.
• Provide training, orientation, mentoring, and consultations to staff.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, partners, children, and families.
• Make informed decisions on services for client families.
• Review and approve work.
