Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provides ongoing performance management, training and conducts timely formal performance appraisals for direct reports
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Smile and maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, easy, flexible and friendly customer service
• Role model outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills to meet or exceed customers' expectations
• Control store expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems
• Perform duties to ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety and department sanitation are maintained
• Ensure Perishable Department schedules provide extraordinary customer service
• Has complete understanding of scheduling, sales, projections, wage percent, interviewing, hiring, training, company information, and other items to manage the Perishable Department
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise comply with policies
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could cause accidents
• Record and report all accidents per procedures
• Monitor shrink and coach to prevent losses
• Ensure advertising and signage are utilized
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practices
• Maintain security standards
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses
• Provide recognition and constructive counseling related to customer satisfaction and store sales
• Perform all other duties as assigned
