Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Lead to manage produce, dairy, meats, bakery, and related sections. You will support the Store Manager with inventory control, merchandising, pricing, and customer service, while ensuring safety and compliance.

Coached associates will be trained in proper handling and stocking. You will monitor perishable stock, guide staff on plan-o-gram standards, and address customer needs in a fast-paced retail environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail and some supervisory role is advantageous.
• Certifications in food handling may be required locally.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Store Manager in preserving financial integrity and security.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using provided tools and guides.
• Train associates in merchandising, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure sanitation standards and safe food handling practices.
• Provide courteous customer service and address needs promptly.
