Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage perishables department under Store Manager for stock, pricing, and presentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and implement perishable ordering plans.
• Train associates on proper stocking, freshness, and safety procedures.
• Record markdowns and ensure compliance with food handling rules and procedures.
• Protect company assets and ensure cash accountability and security practices.
