Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Lead to manage produce, meats, dairy, bakery, and frozen foods under the Store Manager. You will help optimize inventory, merchandising, pricing, and quality customer service across all perishable areas.

This role requires enforcing food safety rules, training associates in proper handling, rotation, and stocking, and ensuring safe store operations. You will maintain stock levels, monitor perishables, and support daily open-to-buy and markdown

Qualifications

• Read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and operating instructions.
