Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year in retail and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in perishables and grocery a plus.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in managing perishable departments including inventory and merchandising.
• Maintain correct stock levels and freshness of produce, meats, dairy, and bakery.
• Train and supervise associates on proper handling, pricing, and display standards.
• Record markdowns and analyze causes to reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs promptly.
• Support cash accountability and store security practices.
