Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Lead for the Perishable Departments (produce, meat, dairy, bakery) in Jay, OK. You will assist the Store Manager with inventory, merchandising, and customer service to ensure safe, fresh, and appealing perishable products.

You will train associates, maintain stock levels, and enforce food handling and safety procedures while supporting daily store operations and cash controls.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to learn and perform cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining correct perishable stock levels using current Ads, planners, and order guides.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness, and pricing standards for perishable areas.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns; analyze causes to prevent recurrences.
• Ensure customers' needs are addressed promptly and maintain sanitation standards in Perishable departments.
