Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Lead to manage the Perishable Departments, including produce, meats, dairy, bakery and frozen items. You will support inventory control, merchandising and customer service while protecting company assets.

You will train associates, ensure food handling compliance and maintain safe, clean conditions in the store. Experience in retail leadership is preferred and state certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with inventory management and presentation in the Perishable Departments.
• Maintain proper stock levels and monitor perishable items to prevent waste and markdowns.
• Train associates on proper stocking, pricing and food handling in compliance with rules.
• Ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and safely.
