Job summary

Food Lion in Thomasville, NC is seeking a Perishable Department Manager to lead the perishables, hire/train staff, and drive store performance in line with Food Lion Strategy. You will manage scheduling, budgets and safety while delivering top-quality service to customers.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, ensuring department appearance and cleanliness, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures to achieve financial targets and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or able to achieve accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion values and strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure fast, friendly customer service and a positive shopping experience.
