Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a supervisor for the Perishable Departments to manage produce, meats, dairy, bakery, and related items. You will assist the Store Manager with inventory control, merchandising, and delivering quality customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires experience in retail, leadership skills, and knowledge of food handling regulations. Strong organization and communication are essential for success on this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with financial integrity through cash accountability and store security practices.
• Maintain perishable stock levels using store tools and guidelines.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness, and pricing of perishable items.
• Record inventory levels and perishable markdowns to minimize waste and maximize profit.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and safety policies in the Perishable departments.
