Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a retail environment and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in ensuring the financial integrity of the store through strict cash accountability, key control, and adherence to company security practices and cash control procedures.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels based on store volume using perishable stock tools and guides.
• Train assigned associates in proper stocking, presentation, freshness and pricing standards for all perishable areas and safe handling of food.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrences; ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
