Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Lead for the Perishable Departments, including Produce, Fresh Meat, Dairy, Frozen, and Bakery. You will assist with inventory management, merchandise presentation, pricing, and ensuring customer service quality.

Help enforce food safety rules and protect store assets under store manager supervision. You will train associates on proper handling, rotation, and markdowns while maintaining daily customer engagement and accurate stock levels in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.
Ability to learn and perform cash register functions to generate reports.
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
Ability to train staff in perishable presentation and pricing standards.

Responsibilities

Assist Store Manager in maintaining perishable stock levels using order guides and sales history.
Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes to prevent recurrence.
Train associates in proper stocking, rotation, and safe handling of perishable products.
Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and safety policies.
Maintain inventory accuracy and provide timely customer service.
