Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

• Good understanding of store operations preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attain accreditation within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management and training.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with guiding principles and values.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain an enthusiastic customer-focused environment with fast, easy, friendly service.
• Model outstanding customer service and apply product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and care for supplies and equipment.
• Use company tools like financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, ordering, and BOS systems.
• Ensure department appearance, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
