Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to manage the Perishable Departments including produce, meats, dairy, bakery and frozen foods. You will support inventory management, merchandise presentation, and customer service while ensuring a safe working environment and asset protection.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining stock levels, recording markdowns, and complying with food handling regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year in retail and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with cash accountability and security practices.
• Maintain correct perishable stock levels using provided tools and guides.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness and pricing standards.
• Ensure sanitation standards and safety policies are followed by the team.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs efficiently.
