Job summary

Dollar General currently seeks a Store Perishable Lead to manage produce, dairy, meats, bakery and related departments. You will support the Store Manager with inventory, merchandising and customer service to drive sales and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in lead roles and grocery environment preferred.
• Local/state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining perishable stock levels and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and proper food handling.
• Train associates on fresh product presentation and pricing.
• Record perishable markdowns and analyze causes.
• Maintain cash accountability and security practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs.
