Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Ability to learn cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Understanding of safety policies and plan-o-gram compliance.
• Ability and willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with perishable stock levels and inventory controls.
• Maintain cash accountability, key control, and store security practices.
• Train associates on perishable presentation, freshness, and pricing standards.
• Ensure sanitation standards and safe food handling practices are followed.
• Record inventory, markdowns, and analyze causes to prevent recurrence.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer requests promptly.
• Assist with other store operations as needed.
