Job summary

UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, seeks a Supervisor of Perioperative Services to lead frontline staffing and workflow for surgical services. You will oversee perioperative coworkers, ensure safe patient flow, and provide ongoing coaching and onboarding to new team members in alignment with policy.

The role requires RN licensure, B.S. in Nursing, and 5 years perioperative experience or 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation and clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and follow through with minimal direction.
• Proven ability to lead by influence and authority, manage conflict and negotiate.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline supervision, daily workflow coordination, and clinical oversight in the perioperative area.
• Support onboarding, orientation, and training of new team members; monitor competency and coach staff.
• Ensure staffing coverage, appropriate assignment, and safe, efficient flow of surgical cases and patient care activities.
