Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA seeks a Staff Nurse Leader for the Main Operating Room to coordinate all clinical functions, nursing practice, and care standards for the perioperative service.

You will use the nursing process to design and deliver care, lead daily activities, and serve as a clinical resource to colleagues, physicians, and students; BSN required, CNOR preferred, ability to work variable shifts.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in perioperative settings.
• Strong teaching/education/in-service skills.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control.
• CNOR Certification.
• BSN required for external candidates.
• Minimum 3 years of perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all clinical functions and standards of care in the Main Operating Room.
• Use the nursing process to design, coordinate and deliver perioperative care.
• Direct daily activities, lead, plan, and evaluate nursing practices.
