Job summary

Adventist Health Twin Cities in Templeton, CA seeks a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support perioperative care and surgical patients. The RNFA will assist the surgeon, practice teamwork, and ensure adherence to Standards of Nursing Practice.

The role requires a nursing degree, CNOR, BLS/ACLS, and scrub/circulate experience, with responsibility for patient education and post-anesthesia care as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course.
• Three years scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility.
• Annual surgeon review.

Responsibilities

• Assists under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in perioperative care.
• Demonstrates leadership and professionalism as an RNFA.
• Accurately administers and charts medications using the 6 rights.
• Participates in staff development and education for department skills.
