Astrana Health is seeking an RN First Assistant (RNFA) to join our perioperative team in California. You will serve as a scrub or circulating nurse, applying aseptic technique and infection-prevention standards to support safe operative care.

The role requires 3+ years perioperative nursing, CA RN licensure, CNOR, and completion of an RNFA program with clinical components. BLS and ACLS are required, with on‑call availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Active, current RN license in California.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years perioperative nursing experience.
• CNOR certification.
• RNFA education program with supervised clinical component.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• English literacy (reading/writing).
• Flexibility to work on‑call, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical support to the surgeon during operative procedures.
• Independently perform preoperative assessments, intraoperative first‑assist duties, and postoperative evaluations.
• Maintain clinical judgment, accountability, and delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered perioperative care.
