SCA Health seeks an experienced perioperative nurse to support preoperative and postoperative pathways at our Meridian, Idaho facilities. The role emphasizes patient assessment, safe anesthesia recovery, and effective communication with the care team.

The position requires nursing licensure, PACU or preoperative experience, and ACLS/PALS readiness if pediatric cases exist. You will contribute to patient safety and quality outcomes within our ambulatory network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient status preoperatively and postoperatively as policies require.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement plan including recovery from anesthesia and safety measures.
• Provide hand-off reports and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in quality improvement.
