Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment; PALS if pediatric care is included.
• BLS (or BCLS) certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies.
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia plan of care.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia across various modalities.
• Provide education and communicate patient status to the care team.
• Document care and participate in team quality improvements.
