Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing; BLS/BCLS within 90 days.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment; PALS if pediatric care is included within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies; evaluate cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, hemodynamic, pain and mental status.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates accurately and concisely.
• Document nursing care completely and maintain patient rights, dignity, and privacy.
