Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies and procedures.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe the physiology of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care including managing recovery from anesthesia.
• Communicate the patient’s status throughout the perianesthesia continuum.
• Provide education regarding recovery, medications and expectations.
• Document nursing care and participate in hand-offs and team collaboration.
