Job summary

SCA Health is seeking an RN in PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care across the patient journey. You will assess patient status before and after procedures, interpret monitors, and develop individualized care plans to optimize recovery and safety.

The role emphasizes collaboration, education, and adherence to policy and quality standards. Ideal candidates have 1 year of PreOp or PACU experience, a nursing license in good standing, and certifications (BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS as applicable).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care including perioperative recovery management.
• Provide hand-off reports to team members with accurate, concise information.
• Protect patient’s rights, dignity, and privacy; ensure safety throughout care.
