Job summary

SCA Health, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role. You will assess and monitor patients before and after anesthesia, implement individualized care plans, administer medications safely, and collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure quality outcomes.

You will work within a comprehensive program that emphasizes clinical quality, integrity, and service excellence while adhering to facility policies and patient-centered care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement and document perioperative care, anesthesia-related interventions.
• Provide hand-off report to teammates with concise, relevant information.
