Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp PACU to support preoperative and postoperative care across our perioperative continuum. You will assess patient status, interpret monitors, and implement care plans to ensure safe recovery from anesthesia.

The role requires nursing licensure, 1 year of Pre-Op or PACU experience, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS if pediatric cases are included. Competitive clinical environment with focus on patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience recommended.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS required if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe patient physiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Administer medications safely using the eight rights of medication administration.
• Provide education and discharge planning.
• Ensure patient safety and infection prevention across perioperative care.
