Job summary

SCA Health in Dublin, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp PACU to support perioperative care from preoperative assessment through recovery. The role collaborates with physicians and the surgical team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The RN will assess patient status, interpret monitors, and implement a plan of care while administering medications safely and coordinating hand-offs. BLS/BCLS required; ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure in good standing is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe underlying pathophysiology of common diseases and anesthesia physiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of safe medication administration.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates with relevant patient information.
• Maintain infection prevention and wound care standards.
• Support patient comfort and safety during recovery from anesthesia.
