Job summary

SCA Health in Dublin, OH is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role. You will assess preoperative and postoperative status, coordinate perianesthesia care, and ensure patient safety through anesthesia recovery, analgesia management, and timely transfers.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree from an accredited program, state RN licensure, 1 year PACU/preop experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice as an RN.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and apply discharge criteria.
• Develop and implement a perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage recovery from anesthesia and provide pain management.
• Provide accurate hand-off reports and educate patients and families.
