Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Dublin Surgery Center in the PreOp/PACU. You will assess patients before and after anesthesia, monitor recovery, and coordinate with the perioperative team to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Three years of Pre Operative and/or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice as an RN.
• Successful completion of BLS or BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology as needed.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia across modalities (general, MAC, regional, local).
• Communicate patient status during perioperative care and provide education as needed.
• Provide hand-off reports and ensure patient safety and privacy.
