Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc in Wilmington, NC seeks a dedicated RN for Pre-Op & PACU to ensure patient safety throughout peri-anesthesia care. You will educate patients, perform assessments, and develop plans of care while preparing for invasive procedures and guiding discharge.

Responsibilities include post-anesthesia monitoring, managing pain, documenting care, and collaborating with physicians and hospital staff to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to make sound and reasonable clinical decisions.
• Ability to concentrate on individual patient care and perform calmly under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, hospital partners, and ASC staff.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedure assessments and plan of care.
• Provide pre-operative education and instructions.
• Document assessments and care plans in the medical record.
• Monitor post-anesthesia and sedated patients in PACU.
• Provide post-operative pain management and comfort measures.
• Assess discharge readiness and ensure patients understand discharge instructions.
